Error during install - DJSADERS - 02-10-2008 12:00 PM

Im getting the following error during install, it gets to the awstats install and says 'Starting Installation' then it waits a while and i then get this error:

ERROR: Can't open file |/var/log//proftpd/ftp_traff.log| for writing !

any ideas?

Hi
Operating System?
Permissions in the specified folder?
Are you an admin?

If you read "can't open file for writing" then you automatically should have a look what's there, and think about why this error may appear.

my OS is: Ubuntu 6.06 i am logged in as root using (su) so should have full acccess, im not too good with linux so all help is apperciated

And i was wondering why there is a double "/" in it ?

This was also a bug in ispCP for Debian in the Past i mean.

do you use the old rc2 DJSADERS?
otherwise, the ubuntu configs seems to be outdated... XD
