RE: RC3 Installation Problem - joximu - 12-08-2007 09:30 AM

RE: RC3 Installation Problem - ArcAiN6 - 12-08-2007 11:00 AM

ok... so i copied the files from trunk, and that part's fine... but now on domain status, it's showing:

Code:
sys_command_rs() | Ending...
bit cryptic that one..

RE: RC3 Installation Problem - joximu - 12-08-2007 06:28 PM

If it's a new domain, change the status (in pma) to "toadd" and rerun the request manager.
You better enable DEBUG messages (see howto or FAQ).

yea i did that, didn't help, so i re-installed the trunk, and everything was working perfectly untill i tried to create the domain. now i'm getting gripped at about status 9 on creating username / group vu2001 so i removed bothe the group, and the name, reset the domain status to toadd, and tried again, this time i got gripped at as such:

excerpt of cat /var/log/ispcp/ispcp-serv-mngr.stderr
Code:
apache2: bad user name vu2001

I decided to bring myself up to date with the latest nightly build (20080121) , and am having the same issues with all of my domains reporting that error when debug mode turned on.

It certainly is a very vague/cryptic error message, and leaves me totally lost with where the error really is.

Could you please post the error message again - it's not clear what you mean with "the same" & "that error" - the thread is two months old...

Which way did you follow to update and what version did you use before? (download date)

RC2c was the previous version. I tried updating with the test update script, which did error out, unfortunately I don't have the details of the update errors.
