dann hast du aber die Sache mit den Hostnamen in der main.cf nicht gemacht. Oder postfix nicht neu geladen.

die /etc/hosts hat sich allerdings verändert, die sieht nun so aus
meine.ip.vom.server toni localhost

die hosts sollte sich nicht selbst ändern - aber vielleicht macht das die V-Software...

so hab nochmal die /etc/hosts in gewohnter weise wieder verändert und wieder das gleiche problem nichts geht
hab es jetzt so in der hosts
meine.ip.vom.server domain.tld hostname localhost
und es scheint zu laufen.
hat zwar ein wenig gedauert bis die mails da waren sind aber angekommen
könnte es an diesen open vcp server liegen das die hosts anders sein muss?

Scheint in der Tat ein kontroverses Thema zu sein..
ich habe bisher bei der Installation von Etch immer Hostname und Domainname separt eingegeben und es kam dann so raus, dass in /etc/hostname nur der Hostname (short) drin war.
