Are you saying with a later build this error would not occur?

RE: (CentOS) ERROR: Unknown user 'www-data' ! - joximu - 03-29-2008 07:44 PM

Does not seem so.

What dio you have in /etc/ispcp/bind/backup/ ?

RE: (CentOS) ERROR: Unknown user 'www-data' ! - rajahomega - 03-30-2008 07:00 PM

Code:
[root@host ~]# ls /etc/ispcp/bind/backup/
empty-file
It's empty

ok, and where is the named.conf - this is the config file for bind.

in /etc/named.conf, /etc/named.d/named.conf or /etc/bind/named.conf or elsewhere?

Thanx

/etc/named.conf

RE: (CentOS) ERROR: Unknown user 'www-data' ! - joximu - 04-01-2008 04:05 AM

A question:
which installation guide did you follow?

RE: (CentOS) ERROR: Unknown user 'www-data' ! - rajahomega - 04-01-2008 01:13 PM

I followed the debian one since a centOS one wasn't made

RE: (CentOS) ERROR: Unknown user 'www-data' ! - joximu - 04-01-2008 06:53 PM

In rc4?

wrong - there is also an INSTALL for CentOS. It's in the package you downloaded, or here:
http://www.isp-control.net/ispcp/browser/trunk/docs/CentOS/INSTALL

I think you did a "make install" instead of "make install -f Makefile.centos"

Please try again.
