I`m studying this problem. I used this hack to bring this release at a usable version and because I never used HTMLPurifier.

first patch provided, for some reason (i think used encoding was wrong) could not be applied in totality (read Rats post). Second patch (patch2.txt.gz -> r1252) contain the changes that was failed in first one (most important things as in one of the Murphy`s laws
).
