Seltsame Sache.
ich kanns halt nicht nachvollziehen - der Test-Server schluckt's problemlos und auf den Produktivservern hab ich nur "_" in den DB-Namen :-)

Hi,
welche Zeichensätze nutzt Du auf Deinem System?
Bei mir läuft eigentlich alles unter utf8, liegt es vielleicht daran?

Hi,
so ich bin mit meinem Latein am Ende, ich habe auch probiert über die Konsole direkt eine Datenbank zu erstellen und trotzdem sehe ich keinen Bindestrich
Sämtliche locales stehen auf utf8 , keine Ahnung wo es hakt

Hab grad in Lenny eine DB angelegt (im pma):
ls -la ergibt da:
drwx------ 2 mysql mysql 4.0K 5. Apr 12:00 ss-ss_ww-21

Hi,
so habe mich mal schlauer gemacht.
Liegt wohl an MySQL 5.1.32 das ich verwende.
Dort werden, wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe, Sonderzeichen hexadezimal codiert beim speichern.

Nur wie kann ich das dem Script plausibel machen?

hm - das kann durchaus sein - klingt realistisch...
Die Frage ist wohl, gibt es eine Funktion (für Perl), die diese Konversatzion macht...

Bis eine Lösung vorliegt werde ich dann wohl die Bindestriche aus den Datenbanknamen entfernen müssen
