fixed it! the section of my /var/postfix/main.cf that i edited:
Quote:myhostname = mail
mydomain = mail.blah blah blah server
myorigin = $mydomain

I had this issue myself... Got to the end here and realized that was my mistake as well...
my hostname was same as mydomain..
changed like you hostname=mail
and then /etc/init.d/postfix restart
all was better... duh.. been down on that account for a long time.
