RE: Is there housekeeping period? - motokochan - 12-29-2009 05:16 PM Use a static IP. There isn't really a perfect way to manage with a dynamic IP, especially since you'll be listed on MAPS DUL and other dynamic IP blacklists for mail. RE: Is there housekeeping period? - wilxp - 01-22-2010 02:19 AM My problem has re-surfaced recently. I cannot access my domain periodically for about 20-40 minutes. Then when i check back my domain later, it is working again. Initially, i thought it was dynamic IP problem, but apparently it is not. I tried to access my domain thru a LAN network at home using 192.168.X.X. It always point me to my domain quickly. But i experience inaccessibility when i tried that yesterday for about 20 minutes. External proxy surfing also failed, quoting connection time-out. So i went over to my Ubuntu Server and see what happens. The server is still running fine. But i am unsure what log file to check. The funny thing is that i can access the ISPCP Filemanager without any problem, but not the hosted domains. Could it be a program blocking the port 80 temporarily? Maybe it is some anti-hacker or anti-spam mechanism? I am not sure. Anyone can suggest ways to remedy this irritating inaccessible domain problem? Thanks in advance! =D |
