MAIL TO HOTMAIL WORKS NOW! Wink
It seems like they only accept your spf record after a week.
Actually I did nothing because I already tried everything, now suddenly it works.

For all that have a similar problem...

Quote:
We encourage you to e-mail Microsoft upon posting your SPF record to the DNS.
This will help ensure your record is automatically included in our SIDF cache. Send an e-mail with your domain name in the body of the message (for example, mydomain.com) to senderid@microsoft.com.
If you have multiple domain names, please list each domain on a separate line in the body of the message.

send an email to senderid@microsoft.com and wait for the reply.....

I got an reply in matter of seconds saying:

Quote: <senderid@microsoft.com>: host mailc.microsoft.com[205.248.106.32] said:
550 5.7.1 <Your e-mail was rejected by an anti-spam content filter on gateway (205.248.106.32).
Reasons for rejection may be: obscene language, graphics, or spam-like characteristics.
Removing these may let the e-mail through the filter.> (in reply to end of DATA command)

So I sent an email to senderid@microsoft.com from a hotmail account with my domain, so we will see what happens...

Well I still have a strange problem with hotmail.
One of my websites is sending html emails.

When it reaches my hotmail I can open it and see the subject etc, but the body is just empty.

When I view the source I see all html base64 decoded in there.
So it is there, hotmail just denies to decrypt it :S.

I'm sure the scripts are fine, since it worked on another server.
Also I (don't want) can't send them unencrypted, since it sends login information etc.

but you know that base64 is not really an encryption... - or an encryption with a public key Smile

true, but still better then nothing Wink

I had the same problem, but I solved. The problem is reverse DNS, ispcp does not automatically adds the reverse dns, you should add by hand. I am using ispcp omega RC3 and I wrote a blog post about it. Please read that.

hope it works for everyone.

You got something wrong. Your ispCP-DNS-nameserver is not responsible for the reverse lookup, it will be never asked about it. Have you ever checked if the IP resolves to your chosen hostname? Actually a reverse lookup of your IP resolves to dsl85-104-27408.ttnet.net.tr and not to creasus.eu.

Adding SPF Records - Leo51 - 07-31-2011 09:56 PM

Hello, I have a huge problem.

My email server is getting my many ISPs just because I do not have SPF setup on my server.

For the last 24 hours plus I have been reading the web but is not getting the answer that I want and that is how to add the SPF record to my server mainly because I do not know which files to edit to add the statements with the examples that I am reading.

I am on linux/debian with postfix

Many Thanks

Fred

Please open a new thread - this has nothing to do with the original topic.
