RE: Emails not reaching hotmail. - prale - 03-11-2008 05:39 PM MAIL TO HOTMAIL WORKS NOW! It seems like they only accept your spf record after a week. Actually I did nothing because I already tried everything, now suddenly it works. RE: Emails not reaching hotmail. - grungy - 03-20-2008 07:33 PM For all that have a similar problem... Quote: send an email to senderid@microsoft.com and wait for the reply..... I got an reply in matter of seconds saying: Quote: <senderid@microsoft.com>: host mailc.microsoft.com[205.248.106.32] said: RE: Emails not reaching hotmail. - grungy - 03-20-2008 08:03 PM So I sent an email to senderid@microsoft.com from a hotmail account with my domain, so we will see what happens... RE: Emails not reaching hotmail. - prale - 03-21-2008 03:32 AM Well I still have a strange problem with hotmail. One of my websites is sending html emails. When it reaches my hotmail I can open it and see the subject etc, but the body is just empty. When I view the source I see all html base64 decoded in there. So it is there, hotmail just denies to decrypt it :S. I'm sure the scripts are fine, since it worked on another server. Also I (don't want) can't send them unencrypted, since it sends login information etc. RE: Emails not reaching hotmail. - joximu - 03-21-2008 05:18 AM but you know that base64 is not really an encryption... - or an encryption with a public key RE: Emails not reaching hotmail. - prale - 03-21-2008 06:02 AM true, but still better then nothing RE: Emails not reaching hotmail. - yekmer - 07-17-2008 08:10 PM I had the same problem, but I solved. The problem is reverse DNS, ispcp does not automatically adds the reverse dns, you should add by hand. I am using ispcp omega RC3 and I wrote a blog post about it. Please read that. http://yekmer.blogspot.com/2008/07/how-to-add-reverse-dns-record-to-your.html hope it works for everyone. RE: Emails not reaching hotmail. - Cube - 07-17-2008 08:49 PM You got something wrong. Your ispCP-DNS-nameserver is not responsible for the reverse lookup, it will be never asked about it. Have you ever checked if the IP resolves to your chosen hostname? Actually a reverse lookup of your IP resolves to dsl85-104-27408.ttnet.net.tr and not to creasus.eu. Adding SPF Records - Leo51 - 07-31-2011 09:56 PM Hello, I have a huge problem. My email server is getting my many ISPs just because I do not have SPF setup on my server. For the last 24 hours plus I have been reading the web but is not getting the answer that I want and that is how to add the SPF record to my server mainly because I do not know which files to edit to add the statements with the examples that I am reading. I am on linux/debian with postfix Many Thanks Fred RE: Emails not reaching hotmail. - joximu - 08-01-2011 09:56 PM Please open a new thread - this has nothing to do with the original topic.
