Thats what i did, i backupped my whole Server, tried the update and the updater said at the end, that everything went good.
But after that, i wasn't able to connect to any of my websites.
It always told me "Wasn't able to get a connection to the Server"

i'm able to login in control panel, proftp works, apache works but i deactivated the following services: bind9 policyd-weight postgrey, might that be the problem?

After that, i restored my server with my backup and tried it again - Same error.
With RC6, a

This time i realy followed all steps.

IspCP RC6 with no mods or something like that.
Running on debian etch.

Many greetings

How do you expect to work without bind?!! How do you thing that browser know what is the ip for a domain?!!
Also check your firewall not to block your server

My firewall doesn't do any trouble at all.
I deactivated the services, because i installed IspCP on my Server with a howto of my hoster.
I thougt that he got more experience with all these things, so i didn't question that.

So you mean, if i activate bind9 again, the update will work?

Also a other question, is the DEBUG message, which i got normal?
Because i never got one of those in the updates before.

I didn't had this message, beacause my "mysql server has gone away", but i restart the request-manager and this solved the problem Smile

Thanks for the hard work to all contributors.

Same problem as whom?

RE: RC6 -> RC7 - Lucan - 12-15-2008 10:10 AM

I tried an update again and everything worked now.
The problem, why the Server didn't work, was a wrong entry in the hosts file.
Changed that and now it works.
Also have to run bind9 now.
I'm just wondering why it worked with RC6 and not with RC7 anymore.

Anyway, now it works =)
