So, where are you waiting for ? I you have some knowhow that should not be so difficult :-) to update it.

RE: Spam Filtering - Eminos - 05-13-2007 05:48 AM

Because it's a production server, and I have customers. I do not want to risk anything. I can wait for the update script.

  • this is the first version
  • at the moment only for sarge
  • at the moment only in german

if you have any suggestions or found errors (and i know they are there) please let me know.

I test it under Etch with your HowTo. We should bring it up-to-date.

To 2.)

Code:
apt-get install php4-imap php4-domxml php4-mcrypt php4-dev
This is not needed under Etch

Code:
- libdbd-mysql not found

To 4.)

sourcesl.list entry´s are not needed.

To 6.)

No /etc/amavis/amavisd.conf under Etch.

RE: Spam Filtering - BeNe - 05-25-2007 09:57 PM

Can some help me/us/the community to bring the Maia HowTo up-to-date ?
In that Version, it does not run under Etch. And this is my first contact with Maia Cool

RE: Spam Filtering - schnere - 06-05-2007 08:55 PM

I just tried /etc/amavis/conf.d/20-debian-default and copied it to /etc/amavis/amavisd.conf . But this configuration seems not to be working.

I read about error , I got after starting amavis. I read that it could be that I use a new configuration file with an old version of amavisd-new. So the problem could be that maia provides an older version of amavisd-new as debian etch does it.
But where can i get an old config file?

I'm not a complete noob, but i think the tutorial is very hard for some users, since you must know many thing which aren't written in the tutorial.

Exactly that.
I need someone who knows about Maia and the Config with ispCP,
so that i can modify the HowTo for Debian Etch.

We need Maia here, more SPAM than everthing else Sad

RE: Spam Filtering - schnere - 06-05-2007 09:51 PM

Yeah! Got it!
http://www200.pair.com/mecham/spam/debian-etch-maia.html there's all you need to configure.

May be we can write a complete new howto for ISPCP?

[PM auf myispcp.de, ich werd, wenn ich Zeit hab das Ganze auf nem Testserver nochmal aufsetzen und komplett mitdokumentieren...]

Check your INBOX on myiscp...
We will see what we can do Smile

RE: Spam Filtering - J-B - 06-05-2007 10:08 PM

Here a Howto for debian etch. -> http://www200.pair.com/mecham/spam/debian-etch-maia.html

And now, please tell me what you not understand?

I have Maia Mailguard running on debian etch (without ISPcp or VHCS) with any problem.

To point 6:

No /etc/amavis/amavisd.conf under Etch.

delete the folder /etc/amavis/conf.d and use the old amavisd.conf from sarge. And amavisd works fine with maia Smile

RE: Spam Filtering - schnere - 06-05-2007 10:18 PM

@J-B But not everyone knows where to get the old config file from sarge Wink!
Also, there should be a howto which is working with ISPCP without knowledge in greater depth.
And if you read the posts before, you'll have seen that I already posted a link to this tutorial Big Grin!
