[Solved]Nameservers - kafka - 03-28-2010 05:36 AM

Is there a way to create nameservers for my server in ispCP?
At the time being the only way to access my server is via IP I would lick to change it so I can use my domain name to point to the server.

Thanks,

ISPcp per default configures a bind nameserver which should be installed on your server allready. However you need to take care of setting up a secondary dns server.

What do you mean you only have access to your server via IP? No domains pointing to it?

Correct, this is because the Domain name is hosted with godaddy, and I need to set the name servers on godaddy so I can access the panel with the domain.

I would recomend you use the godaddy nameservers and set the A records to your server IP there. This way you allready have redundant DNS Servers and everything just works.

The server isn't hosted with go daddy just the Domain Name is... and if the server doesn't have to be hosted with go daddy please enlighten me on how to do that...
Or just post a link on how to do that. Smile

I'm pretty sure GoDaddy included a free DNS service with the domains you register there which you can freely configure. As I'm not a customer their I have no insight on where to click what. But maybe their support can help you.

What are zetaboards nameservers ? I tried s1.zetaboards.com and s2.zetaboards.com. But they are not working.
