Ok clearly we've reached RC1 now. I was expecting the following:
1) A news post on the front page & a link to download the package.
2) A link to a digg article (I will take care of this!).
3) A new download package in the download section for RC1.

Can whoever responsible (RatS or digibyte) carry this out please? I can be responsible for the release management if you don't have the time.

It's important we get this done to keep promoting this project and get more people involved.

i've no rights for tagging, so I can't do anything; first we need a Tag.

Was the release date planned to set on april fools day or is it just a properly set up april fools hoax? Smile

E: (Comment was meant to be considered as a bad joke.)

RE: VHCS Omega 1.0 - RC1 release soon - Esni - 04-02-2007 03:11 AM

Since the previous release was basicly the VHCS2.4.8RC1, is it possible to get somekind of a feature list that what advantages does the vhcs omega rc1 have comparing to vhcs2.4.8RC1?

Ensi, I was hoping the community contributes this list - to let the developers concentrate on just working on the project. We don't want to waste their valuable time on documentation Smile

Good luck, RatS Smile

Edit: OK, I have carried out my tasks as promised:
1) We have a new dig post to announce the RC1 release. Link can be found here:
http://digg.com/linux_unix/VHCS_Omega_1_0_0_RC1_released

2) I would like it to be included into the current news item on the front page. You can integrate it directly by typing some JS code. Please refer to the Digg help page:
http://digg.com/tools/integrate

OR you can use the following code which I've prepared for you to place on the RC1 news article:
Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
digg_url = 'http://digg.com/linux_unix/VHCS_Omega_1_0_0_RC1_released';
</script>
<script src="http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
