Email sorting via IMAP - DarkSide - 04-18-2010 08:58 AM

Hello again all,

One of the users on my ISPCP installation uses IMAP via his iPhone to access his email. He has set filters in the webmail interface of ISPCP to sort his emails into various folders. If he logs into the webmail interface then it will sort the emails as expected, however if he receives *new* email and then accesses via his iPhone then they are not sorted into the relevant folders until he logs back into webmail (this happens instantly if he does).

Is there anything I can do to solve this "issue"? I was thinking some sort of cron job?

Thanks all,
Paul.

This is not ispcp related.

maybe the sorting is webmail dependant. Since ispcp comes without sieve theres IMHO no automatic server based filterset...

It would seem so, I hope I can find a way to fix it :-/

Of course, install the current Dovecot Version and use SieveRules als Joxi said.
Then you have Server-Side filtering and no Client-Side filtering.
