Apache Worker vs Prefork - kljuka - 05-09-2010 06:30 AM First, I would like to congratulate the ispCP team for building such a promising product. Unfortunately I don't know whether it fits my needs: I have an Ubuntu 9.10 (soon to be 10.04) server with LAMP instalation (Apache 2.2: apache2-mpm-prefork, Php: libapache2-mod-php5, ...). Whey I try to install apache2-mpm-worker, the system automatically removes some programs (Phpmyadmin, Cacti - I need them to monitor my server and for database management). Do you have any experience with installing ispCP using Apache 2 Prefork and PHP5 module (not as fast-cgi) in Ubuntu? Or some other suggestions? Thank you for your help RE: Apache Worker vs Prefork - BeNe - 05-11-2010 04:35 PM You can force the installation and keep the package installed. It has no really effect for Cacti or PMA if you switch over to worker. worker needs more resource but is faster. Greez BeNe |
