1.0.3 -> 1.0.6 Error on Update ( restart_httpd() ) - Cheecoh - 08-12-2010 08:34 PM

Hey Guys,

( System: Gentoo on virtual host )

actually im tryin to update my ispcp installation.. i've followed the instructions on 1.06 for Debian ( without apt-get... ).

Everything starts to work escpacially some fixed errors ( depending on os ).. but on the final step:

Quote:Rebuilding all customers configuration files
Please wait, this may take some time: Failed

At the same time i've received an mail from the ispcp styem including following:

Quote:Hey There,

I'm the automatic email sent by on your _________ (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) server.

A critical error just was encountered while executing function restart_httpd() in /var/www/ispcp/engine/ispcp-serv-mngr

Error encountered was:

========================================================================
Apache config file is corrupted. Please check before restarting Apache server!!!
========================================================================

So i've tried to manually to start apache and everything went fine - no errors...
But when i try to login into the admin panel i get several errors like

Quote:chmod 777 to Serializer.php

And the session model dont work correctly...

The errors logs from the update are plain and empty... there are no logs for this problem...

Mail receiving works.. but for mail sending the system wants a password ( maybe something gone wrong on config ? )

Maybe someone can help me?

Best Regards
Cheecoh

RE: 1.0.3 -> 1.0.6 Error on Update ( restart_httpd() ) - puster - 08-13-2010 02:04 AM

Hi everybody,

I kind of do have the same problem.

I did a new installation of ispCP 1.0.6 on a brand new Ubuntu 9.10 Server. The installation went perfectly fine.

After it was installed I upgraded the Server to Ubuntu 10.04 LTS which went smooth and without a problem as well.

Now when I perform any action I as well get the error message:

Hey There
I am the automatic email sent to you by your __________ (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) server.
A critical error just was encountered while executing function restart_httpd() in /var/www/ispcp/engine/ispcp-serv-mngr.
============================================================
Apache config file is corrupted. Please check before restarting Apache Server !!!
============================================================

Unfortunately I was not able to gather anything from the logs.

The system is:
vServer
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 32bit
ispCP 1.0.6

Thank you very much for your help.

Best Regards
Puster

RE: 1.0.3 -> 1.0.6 Error on Update ( restart_httpd() ) - Cheecoh - 08-18-2010 03:26 AM

i've run a backup into my server...

For sure i thought i have v1.0.3 but i actually run the v1.0.2..
for the next days i have planned to try a step by step upgrade... hope this will work for me...

after inserting my backup, an other problem which apeared is that the ispcp_daemon script not worked anymore for gentoo!
i think that i've never stopped the script before/after update from 1.0.0 to 1.0.2... now the scripts passes after editing...

hope that the update from 1.0.2 -> 1.0.3 -> 1.0.4 and so on will go fine..

I solved my problem by using for update the gentoo-makefile...

make -f <file..>
