Using an IA64? - rsmithgs - 08-16-2007 07:30 PM Hi Guys, Anybody using ISPCP on a server with an Itanium 2 CPU? If so, was it a straight forward setup? (Obviously using the IA64 version of Debain instead of the i386/x86-64 versions). Hows the performance? If not, can anyone make an educated guess on whether it would be a straight forward install or not? (I'm guessing yes though would welcome other opinions). Many Thanks RE: Using an IA64? - BeNe - 08-17-2007 12:15 AM I have no server with an Itanium 2 CPU but ispCP should also run on it _if_ debian Etch or an other supported linux works on this machine. Quote:Hows the performance? For this - you must run an apache benchmark, things like - "yeah i mean this it is 1sec. faster than...." is not helpful Greez BeNe RE: Using an IA64? - BeNe - 08-17-2007 12:17 AM And please change your signature to this one: Quote:I'm using VHCS and want to change to something better. ispCP Omega is looking to be the answer. People seem to be getting rid of these Itanium's quite cheaply and if I remember the propaganda they were good performers.
