(Solved) Problems with database backups after 1.07 rc1 update - Smallserver - 09-23-2010 08:26 AM

Edit: it was a permissions issue in /tmp (755 must be 777 (ispcp couldn't write there))

Hi there,

Since my upgrade I get the following error via email, on all my databases"

Dear admin,

I'm an automatic email sent by your server.harperink.de
(213.239.193.22) server.

A critical error just was encountered while executing function
backup_ispcp_database() in
/var/www/ispcp/engine/backup/ispcp-backup-ispcp.

Error encountered was:

=====================================================================
ERROR: Failed to backup database ispcp!
=====================================================================

Any clue where to look?
Debian Lenny, ispCP 1.0.7RC1

Grtz,
Herman

Not true about /tmp. Engine runs as root so no need to have 0777 on any folder 0700 is enought. In RC1 where some problems with database update, that are corrected in trunk. RC2 will be out this week. Until then try rerun update and if it fails again, wait for RC2 or use trunk instead.
