manual DNS control question in 1.0.7 - kingxerxes - 11-22-2010 07:40 AM Hi There, I have just installed 1.0.7 trunk (build 20101022) and have a query about manual DNS control. New domains are created fine and are given the correct MX records that are specified in the template. The problem is that if i add a a custom MX record, it does not override the existing one, rather it creates duplicates. For example: 10 mail.myserver.com [custom] 10 mail.domain.com [from template] 15 mail2.domain.com [from template] I could just give my custom MX record a higher priority, but i know from experience that mail is often delivered to secondary or tertiary servers in any case, so this would not work. I have the same problem with A records. For example, i would like to host a domain on ispcp and use the email features, but want to host the website elsewhere (because it is ASP). I can create a manual DNS A record for WWW and the other server IP, but i am still left with the one created from the template. thanks for the help!
