Protected Areas - Groups not working - TheWedgie - 01-17-2011 05:01 PM

Howdy all - as per the title - I've setup a protected area on a subdomain of mine, however when I try and add a group of users to it, they can't login.
If I have it as "user auth", it works fine.

Thoughts?

Using 1.0.7 build 20100819.

I got it to work just fine with this format in the htpasswd file
username1:encryptpassword1
username2:encryptpassword2

so on so forth, in htaccess it was user auth I think I am not 100% sure as I have removed the file as I no longer need them.

I have no doubt editing the htpasswd file manually it works - the problem is when using ISPCP it doesn't work to set group auth.

Wait, so using 'group' level access works ok for you?

Has anyone else got any thoughts on this?

Short of purchasing a third-party application to manage .htaccss and .htpasswd, I don't know what to do...
