Regarding -> Wrong label syntax error for danish letters - hjarne - 02-20-2011 04:17 AM System: Debian Squeeze ispCP: 1.0.7 Build 20101124 I've installed a fresh ispCP some days ago on a Debian. Now that i have to add some danish domains (with the danish letters æ , ø and å in them), i get the error "Wrong label syntax". This i quite desturbing when i think about it. It worked on the older versions, I THINK, because i really can't remember if i changed something that needed to be changed to get it to work in the first place. Anyone here who have an idea on how to fix this? Regards Hjarne RE: Regarding -> Wrong label syntax error - hjarne - 02-24-2011 04:47 PM So i'm still working with this problem. Are there no life on this forum? Or is my quistion confusing? Need more info? Please help Regards Hjarne RE: Regarding -> Wrong label syntax error - RatS - 02-26-2011 07:22 AM Hi Hjarne, I wanted to try it all the time, but I forgot about it. Now I did. I added a domain called søren.dk and did not got any problem. The domain was added as expected as domain alias from client and domain from reseller. Could you please try to re-run the upgrade process including the copy of the files. Maybe you got an outdated file. It's a all new install of Debian and a fresh install of ispCP 1.0.7 Build 20101124. Now on the old server i had to change a few things to get it to work, but this new one seems to have the system preconfigured to support it, cause now i'm not even able to trick it like "xn--sren-gra.dk" to get the søren.dk domain to work. Regards Hjarne RE: Regarding -> Wrong label syntax error for danish letters - hjarne - 03-02-2011 02:34 AM The funny thing is, now that i've testet with søren.dk , særen.dk and såren.dk it comes to me that it only has a problem with the letter "ø". Every time i've been testing with æ or å everything works fine? :S For me, this just makes it even more weird Regards Hjarne RE: Regarding -> Wrong label syntax error for danish letters - RatS - 03-02-2011 07:43 AM In deed that's strange. Maybe it has to do with the encoding? RE: Regarding -> Wrong label syntax error for danish letters - hjarne - 03-03-2011 05:13 AM I'm sorry ... What? What should i do to try and fix this? And maybe not run into the same problem with the server I'm setting up? The thing is that I put up a temp server for upgrading the old one with new hardware and the new debian aswell. So before I install it, id love to know what I should do to try and prevent it for happening on the new server aswel I use the "The Perfect Server - Debian Squeeze (Debian 6.0)" from howtoforge as a guide for my debian setup. Hjarne RE: Regarding -> Wrong label syntax error for danish letters - c0urier - 03-12-2011 02:03 AM Rats try adding a domain with æ in it and then create a subdomain for that domain alias. Edit: If you change the mount point of the domain alias to hjaelp.dk and still keep the domain intact to hjælp.dk it works fine to add subdomains - But if you have the domain mount point to hjælp.dk it will cause problems. |
