Web based install? - cyrus - 09-09-2007 06:16 AM Are there any plans to have a web based installation? RE: Web based install? - RatS - 09-09-2007 06:38 AM It's hard to realize, it's easier to implement a GUI for install GT and text based mode RE: Web based install? - rsmithgs - 09-10-2007 04:40 AM Web based installation, sorry for sounding a bit thick but how would that work? Surely the difficult bits you have to do manually anyway. (Installing Debian, packages, patching, etc etc). I have always found the install of ISPCP Omega easy. (I do it without realising now lol) RE: Web based install? - blocker - 09-10-2007 02:34 PM hmm I think thats hard becouse some part ispcp need root access. RE: Web based install? - rsmithgs - 09-10-2007 06:08 PM I'm still having issues seeing how a web install would work lol apt package would be good though. Been able to do an apt-get install ispcpomega and all the packages would download and you'd get a the config options appear as part of the install. RE: Web based install? - cyrus - 09-10-2007 11:27 PM I was asking about a web based install before I realized you need root access. I was referring to how Joomla's installation works but now that I know more about ISPCP Omega it wouldn't be possible. RE: Web based install? - rsmithgs - 09-10-2007 11:48 PM aaarrrr now I know what you mean lol least you have a web front end to configure with lol RE: Web based install? - BioALIEN - 09-11-2007 02:28 AM Sort of like webmin?
