Migrate ispcp 1.0.3 to new server - AcE_IoXx - 06-01-2011 07:56 PM

Hello all,

Currently i have an old dell poweredge wich needs to be replaced.

I have the new server already for a few monts, but can't figure out how to migrate ispcp to the new server.

If anybody could provide me with a step by step so i can migrate it would be really great.

The old server is debian 5.0.4 and the new one will be the latest stable version.
I also want to update to the new ispcp, so the order of things i don't care much about. As long as it works.

Also, i want the problems that i have with ISPCP 1.0.3 to be gone when i migrate. These problems are from the last update to 1.0.3 where i think something went wrong. Everytime a change is made in the bind configuration it gets f*ed up. A lot of double entries appear so bind can't start.

I really hope someone here can help me with this!

Hi,

how many domains are on the old system?

I prefer a fresh install , create all domains and users etc. and copy only the mail an htdocs folders to the new system. Last change the owner of them to the new one and all works fine Smile

There are about 20 domains on the old system...
But i don't know all the passwords for al the users, so recreating them manually is out of the picture i think...

You can try using the [http://isp-control.net/forum/thread-9699-page-1.html]backup/restore script by tomdooley[/url] to export the accounts from the old server and import them on the new one.
