Omega 1.1.0 with main and backup uplink - lemarcak - 07-17-2012 12:29 AM Hello, This one Omega isnt generic hosting machine, its multidomain mail/web server inside organization. I have network with main and backup connectivity as black drawing on attached picture: http://www.flickr.com/photos/82774520@N06/7582153214/in/photostream/lightbox/ Purpose: how to design somewhere inside company Omega hosting with twouplinks and independent 1mx and 2mx records for one important and some other domains? Some simple internal subdomain web (not main) on Omega too. Real zone and ns records are outside not on Omega Router3 Omega virtual inside vmware, physical host with 4 interfaces <red drawing> A) now I have lab Omega Orpheus behind router3 with one private IP. Parallel and double dst-nat ports from both public IPs. It works, but its not nice, for instance there is Omega/postfix private IP inside mail headers. B) plug Omega with two interfaces parallel next to router3 with one public IP2/30 and one backup private dst-nated to IP3/32 C) replace router3 with Omega (three interfaces) and let Omega ping uplinks, switch gw and nat all the inside net? Bud what about later Omega upgrade etc? </red drawing> -which of A-C is the bes solution? -I expect only 1mx record usually working witn main uplink and only 2mx with failure of the main and backup uplink working. Is it possible to get working both mx records together? have You ever seen/hear/solve/deal Omega with something like this?? Thanks |
