password issues with certain characters?? - robmorin - 11-27-2007 06:57 AM

Hello all...

I have an issue where users are using the "*" character in their email passwords, this worked no problem before... now what happens is omega puts a "\" in front of the star, so the user cannot log on... there is no warning saying that they cannot use stars in their passwords when crating or changing a user so now the password rob*123 looks like rob\*123 in the database.....

There should be no restriction on what to use as a password ,really, no?

I have many clients that like to use the * in their passwords.. however it does not seem to affect ftp users though???

I am using version
ispCP 1.0rc3 OMEGA
build: 2007-10-15
Priamos
Thanks...

Rob...

Sounds like a ticket - could you open a ticket for RC4?
