Existing config safe? - Stefan-P - 11-30-2007 04:43 PM

Hi,

I manage a small virtual server with a few sites on it. Because I could not decide for any management SW, I edit everything manually.

If I install ISP-Control, would my existing configuration be safe? E.g. directory locations, apache config, etc.

Can ISP-C detect the existing structure?

Thanks
Stefan

I believe you may be at risk of loosing your configuration (depending on how you configured it I suppose). In theory the actual files should be fine.

Do not believe ISP installer detects the current configuration.

As your using a VPS maybe the best idea is to set up a new VPS and install ISP-Control, then manually migrate the sites and email over to the new VPS. Once done and your happy, close down the old VPS.
