hallo leute,

habe mir gestern einen vserver bestellt und ein nacktes debian etch auf dem draufgehauen,
habe dann nach anleitung ispcp installiert (trunk vom 08.01.08) was auch soweit funktioniert hat, nur mit dem ftp server hab ich noch probleme.

die suche hat mir nicht weiter geholfen und hoffe nun auf euer fachwissen.
ich muss zu meiner schande gestehen das ich das projekt längere zeit nicht mehr besucht habe was sich aber schlagartig ändern wird Big Grin

also nun zum problem:

proftpd startet nicht:

Gibt es denn den host "tonihome" ?
Proftpd kann den nicht auflösen. Schau mal in deiner /etc/hosts nach.

Poste mal deine /etc/hosts. Ich denke mal Du hast NUR die /etc/hostname bearbeitet.

es dürfte einfacher werden, wenn du den Hostnamen nach dem Schema host.domain.tld einrichtest. Also zB. toni.tonihome.eu. Dann sähen diese Dateien etwa so aus:

hosts

78.47.102.11    toni.tonihome.eu    toni

::ffff:78.47.102.11    toni.tonihome.eu    toni

Rest wie oben...

und hostname:

toni

und entsprechend die Konfigurationen anpassen (ispcp und die Dienste, wo ein host und oder domainname drin steht).

hab es jetzt so gemacht:

und schwupps hat proftpd gestartet.

die Idee hier ist eigentlich, dass zuerst die IP kommt (ok), dann der Full-qualified Hostname und in der dritten Spalte der Hostname (ohne Domain)...
Das stimmt bei dir noch nicht überein...

hallo,

danke dir nochmal für diesen hinweis, hab es entsprechend abgeändert.

jetzt muss ich noch zusehen das ich amavis, spamassassin installiert bekommen und es entsprechend einbinde.

hatte dann vor den ssh port zu ändern einen neuen user zu erstellen und die permission für root auf off zu stellen.

habt ihr sonst noch ein tipp was mann machen sollte?
awstat hätte ich auch gerne draufgehabt aber ich weiss nicht ob das so mit dem installations script funktioniert und hab es erstmal mit "no" quittiert.

Das mit SSH und AWStats geht auch alles.
Habe erst selber von r816 auf die aktuelle ein Update gemacht und nachträglich AWStats aktiviert.

bezüglich awstats:Dann wirst du auch nicht awstats nutzen können.Entweder beim install skript yes eingeben oder gar nicht.Du hättest nur yes eingeben müssen und dass wärs gewesen.

ps:Wir sind überrigents beim gleichen V-Server provider Wink
