apache2 not starting at boot ? - Eminos - 01-17-2008 08:36 AM

Hi,

I have had this error for a while now, but I wasn't sure it was ispCPs foult.
I am using HostEurope Virtuozzo VPSs. And it's the same thing with them all. Debian 4.0. ispCP from november nightly til latest nightly.

So, the problem is that some services are not starting when I reboot the VPS.
Apache2 is one. Bind is an other.
Also Logrotate doesn't work (probably due to the same error as the above two). And I don't think that Cron works either.

I have theese files in /etc/rc3.d/

S18mysql-ndb
S20courier-imap
S20postfix
S50proftpd
S99rc.local
S09hostname_vps
S19mysql
S20courier-pop
S20rsync
S89cron
S99rmnologin
S10sysklogd
S19policyd-weight
S20exim4
S20saslauthd
S91apache2
S99stop-bootlogd
S10vzquota
S19postgrey
S20makedev
S20ssh
S99ispcp_daemon
S17mysql-ndb-mgm
S20courier-authdaemon
S20openbsd-inetd
S20xinetd
S99ispcp_network

So bind seems to be missing, is it suposed to be there?
Apache2 is there, but still doesn't start. All files are root:root and chmod 0777.

Greatful for help Smile

Alright, so it wasn't set to boot into runlevel 3. Now it is and now atleast Apache2 starts as it should. DNS still doesn't !
I am not sure about Logrotate and CRON (backups, awstats, and so on).
Is there a way to check these two if they work as they should?
