ok i figuired out that the password in /root/.my.conf - is not the same as the one in ispcp.conf - should it be this way ?

ok ... ive updated using the wikis howto..

now when i run database updates in ispCP panel :

i got : database update 3 failed

i rerun and got : database update 4 failed

now there are no updates to apply in CP ( where can i see the missing sql updates ?)

What now? Did you use the Script or the Wiki? When you only use the Wiki, did you also copy all /parts to /etc to the correct place?

I think the DB Update did not work as it should. I had the same Error's.

i used: Version: 0.0.3 - 03.06.2008 - from the wiki, i just exectued the scipt - didnt touch, copy, move ANYTHING else . the server went up after i rebooted it (just in case), i logged to admin panel and saw there are sql updates. So i ran the sql updates, but it seems that update 3 and 4 didnt execute.

i still see "ispCP 1.0.0 RC4 OMEGA build: 20080316" in the footer.

I think ispcp.conf is not touched by the upgrade. You have to do this by hand/diff.

ok, im doing this right now. btw. cant i overwrite real one with the one from configsdir from /usr/src/ispconfig ? i didnt have anything custom.

RE: RC5 release soon! Tester Wanted! - gOOvER - 06-04-2008 10:20 PM

That's correct. The Version won't be changed. The ispcp.conf is not touched by the Script. All changes in it you have to do manually.

When you use the Script all steps should be done.

RE: RC5 release soon! Tester Wanted! - ergo - 06-04-2008 10:33 PM

ok, ive made a diff and fixed everything by hand, but i have a question, the system was working few minutes after reboot on "default" config ( taken from /usr/src/ispcp/configs/debian/ispcp.conf) - i hope that did not break anything ?

what do you mean with "Default Config"? When you run the Script all config's will be rebuilt for the vhosts.
