[Solved] Mail: Backup and restauration - Solvik - 06-01-2008 07:31 AM

Hi everyone,

I'm using ISPCP RC4.

I planned a formatage of my server, so I did a tar of my /var/mail/virtual/ folder and did an untar of it.
When I'm trying to access via the webmail, I have some errors:

Quote:Unknown response from IMAP server: 1.* NO Cannot open message 87 * NO Cannot open message 88 * NO Cannot open message 89 * NO Cannot open message 90 * NO Cannot open message 91 * NO Cannot open message 92 * NO Cannot open message 93 * NO Cannot open message 94 * NO Cannot open message 95 * NO Cannot open message 96 * NO Cannot open message 97 * NO Cannot open message 98 * NO Cannot open message 99 * NO Cannot open message 100 * NO Cannot open message 101

And when I click on a mail (which looks like Unknown Unknown date (no subject)), I have:

Quote:Fatal error: Call to a member function parseProperties() on a non-object in /var/www/ispcp/gui/tools/webmail/class/mime/Message.class.php on line 377

I'd like to recover some mails.. any help could be cool Smile

Thanks in advance

please check the rights on the extracted folder - i think its just that your new installation has a different uid for vmail user...

RE: Mail: Backup and restauration - Solvik - 06-01-2008 07:42 AM

drwxr-xr-x 13 vmail mail 4096 2008-05-31 22:41 solvik

the chown is correct, and I tried to chmod 777, but nothing else..

yes ok - but is your courier-imap running with the same uid ?

How do I check that ? Smile

Problem solved: the tar didn't conserve every chown, so I did a "chown vmail:mail * -R" and everything work Wink

Yep that is the usual fix, I have come across this issue a few times before lol
