(SOLVED) How can i see "ip/domain" - nuno - 07-12-2008 10:02 PM

Hi all, congrats for "SourceForge Community Award nominated"

Question:
how can verify that an account/site is functioning properly?

E.G. http://ip/vdomain, or, (i know this is not possible in ispcp but just for un example ) http://ip/~vdomain or http://server.host/~vdomain/

I am doing a migration of cpanel for the ispcp and wanted to be sure that the sites were well

thanks
Nuno

This issue has been discused just a couple posts before this one:

http://www.isp-control.net/forum/how-view-website-via-ip-address-rather-than-t-3622.html

Short answer: you can set up a subdomain-based solution (http://customer.dmn.server.dmn), but a folder-based (http://server.dmn/user) is impossible as you would have permission problems.

PS: Nuno, as you've written to the other thread you should already know this. Duplicating threads won't give you a solution, it'll just drain your time and ours too Wink

yeah sorry for that, and i know already the solution!!!

P.S.
And search is not very refined gives many different values but that you must already know

UPDATE...

That your comment was unnecessary (how many times you and all did the same! Wink )

-------------UPDATE-------
okay all work but...
i followed this link
http://www.isp-control.net/forum/temporary-customer-url-t-1533.html and kilburn tip.

I do not know whether it is coincidence or not (not noticed it before) but the htdocs/images remained with the "Group " www-data

any feedback?
