ISPCP site disappeared since 19th of July - aseques - 07-23-2008 07:42 PM I post the message I sent to support@g-house.de (in the whois this address appear as the contact), something seems to be broken with the DNS, and even the mails cannot readh the server at g-house.de. This is my little investigation, hope it helps (NOTE: I have the domain in my /etc/hosts now so I can browse) Good morning, I suppose you have already noticed the problems to access to one of the domains that are using your dns service. The domain in question is isp-control.net. Tracing the problem, it seems that the root of the problem is that any of the three nameservers: Nserver: ns1.g-housing.de 89.163.145.149 Nserver: ns2.g-housing.de 89.163.146.34 Nserver: ns3.g-housing.de 78.47.219.222 Are not answering as the owners themselves of g-housing.de, and that also makes that the isp-control.net doesn't get resolved. test@test:~$ dig g-housing.de @78.47.219.222 ; <<>> DiG 9.5.0-P1 <<>> g-housing.de @78.47.219.222 ;; global options: printcmd ;; Got answer: ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 64305 ;; flags: qr aa rd; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 0, AUTHORITY: 1, ADDITIONAL: 0 ;; WARNING: recursion requested but not available Hope it helps to get the site up and keep the isp-control running. RE: ISPCP site disappeared since 19th of July - ephigenie - 07-23-2008 09:13 PM hello, at first : thanks for your effort but its not quite correct alltogether : your query Quote:test@test:~$ dig g-housing.de @78.47.219.222just asks for a A record better use Quote:test@test:~$ dig g-housing.de @78.47.219.222 ANY then you'll get answers like : Quote:dig g-housing.de @78.47.219.222 ANY As far as i see all other dns servers [ns1/ ns2] are answering correctly. For the sake of it i just added a A record for g-housing.de itself, too. If you got further problems - don't hesitate to contact me directly. g-house.de is my former company i sold a couple of month ago. g-housing.de was a domain of that, too - but i'm using this one now for my solely purposes. And yes : there's no mail configured at g-housing.de (i don't want to receive mail there because i've already enough mail accounts ) RE: ISPCP site disappeared since 19th of July - aseques - 07-24-2008 01:24 AM Quote:test@test:~$ dig g-housing.de @78.47.219.222 ANYCool, never new about it, I'll keep in mind ... Quote:As far as i see all other dns servers [ns1/ ns2] are answering correctly. It've been too much days, since friday, but as far as I recall, the domain wasn't resolving for the NS nor the www of his own in any case. In fact, today when trying with my company DNS, until i did a flush, there was no way to ask fro the subdomain. Code: dig ns3.g-housing.de @my_dns_server Quote:If you got further problems - don't hesitate to contact me directly. Ok, I'm glad that everything is running fine again. If there are more problems I'll tell you. Cheers RE: ISPCP site disappeared since 19th of July - ephigenie - 07-24-2008 06:12 AM ah yeah just to add : support@g-house.de is not related (anymore) to my person and as such has no control about isp-control.net |
