[SOLVED] FTP issue - garovich - 12-17-2008 03:07 AM I can create ftp users and everything works ok. But when I set read only permissions I can't login anymore with same user and password and if the folder is read-only I can't see it when I browse to choose a folder in ispcp to modify or create a ftp account. Does anyone know why this happens? Thank you. Greetings. RE: FTP issue - sci2tech - 12-17-2008 03:37 AM Read only? Without execute (x)? If a folder cannot be traversed (executed) it will not be displayed by proftpd. If home directory is not executable, you can not login. So set permission for folders as read and execute. RE: FTP issue - garovich - 12-17-2008 04:25 AM Ok, I'm going to try that right now and then I'll tell you what happens. Thank you. Perfect. That solved the problem. Now I have only one more doubt. I have two users to access the same ftp folder, how can I do to make one of them read-only and the other one read-write? |
