[solved] ftp permissions...is this possible? - garovich - 12-22-2008 04:29 AM hello I need to give different access permissions to users who access a ftp folder. For examle: I have the following ftp folder /domain.com/ftp/ and two ftp users who access that folder (user@doman.com and admin@domain.com) how can I do (if possible) to give user@doman.com read-only access and admin@doman.com read-write? thanks RE: ftp permissions...is this possible? - joximu - 12-22-2008 08:11 AM AFAIK won't work without bigger changes... all ftp users in the same domain account will have the same uid and gid - so you cannot make differences between them - except the home folder... maybe you need a web access for read only access. /J RE: ftp permissions...is this possible? - sci2tech - 12-22-2008 08:36 AM Create one folder, chmod as read and execute (no write), and set as home dir for one user.
