installation problems - forke - 01-09-2009 06:08 AM

Hello guys,

I install on our debian lenny server a ispcp omega rc3.
yes a rc3, because we migrate a olld rc3 server to the new one Wink

I try to install the nescessary packages with the following command.

apt-get install $(cat ./docs/Debian/debian-packages-lenny)

But I have a problem with the dependency.

php5-cgi: Depends: libdb4.4 but it is not installable
php5-cli: Depends: libdb4.4 but it is not installable
php5-imap: Depends: libc-client2002edebian but it is not installable

when I check the libdb file I have only a higher version.

Can somebody help me?

regards

Steffen

Please use only the newest RC. Normally we don't give support for soooooo old Versions like RC3 Big Grin

I think PHP4 is not supported longer from Lenny, because PHP4 is Dead (EOL)!

I can't install the newest version, because i musst copy all customer information to the new server. but I have solve the probleme with the following source entry

deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian etch main

I must reinstall the server, because rats said, with the rc3 is the best way to migrate the server.

Why don't you upgrade your old Server to RC7 and migrate RC7 to RC7?

because it´s a rc2c manually updated by hand to rc3.
a normal rc to rc update isn´t possible in my eyes without more than one day downtime. Sad

no problem Smile
if you know a better update, let us know.
we aren´t afraid with this method, but we think, there isn´t a better way Sad
