question regarding DNS - jbrouhard - 05-18-2007 10:32 AM I need to ask this, as i have several clients interested in my hosting, however they already have mail exchanges. So i'm wondering if ispCP is designed to over-write any DNS zone files ? Once i create the domain, I can i go into the dns zone file, edit it so that the mx records point to the correct location, and not expect it to be over-written ? Thanks in advance. RE: question regarding DNS - raphael - 05-18-2007 11:32 AM after editing the .db file/s you need to copy the modified one/s to /path/to/ispcp/bind/working That way they won't be overwritten (but if you force the domain files regeneration they will be overwritten). Might I suggest someone include DNS zone configuration options in ispCP ? PLESK has it and you can have 100% total control over DNS zones.. this could be useful in ispCP as well.
