Hosting subdomain without hosing main domain - gilbert - 03-13-2009 11:39 PM

Hi,

We have a customer that wants us to host a site at
subdomain.domain.com

We don't control the dns or mail or anything, they only want us to host the site subdomain.domain.com

I would prefer not to have the zone files created and mail and other things created.

If any other of our clients that use our server refer to this domain, our dns servers will wrongly give out our ips.

Can anyone suggest the best way to do this?

Also as we have been bitten every time we do an upgrade in ispcp-control, the system will rebuild the dns when we do an upgrade.

Is there anyway to tell omega not to do anything with the dns?

Thanks in advance,

Gilbert.
