webmail no longer works - lschafroth - 03-16-2009 06:13 AM

Since I have upgraded to lenny and 1.0 ispcp my webmail quit working. roundcube works, but until there is a theme for it I cannot roll it out.

I get the following error:

Error 500!

/webmail/src/webmail.php
Internal Server Error!

Check your apache logs, php log, suexec log...

I checked the /var/logs/apache2/errors.log
the admin.adlsolutions.net log
the log for my domain.
my log for the webmail.

nothing. The only thing I see is the access request, the redirect, then the next entry is the redirect to the error pages.

UPDATE:
I found the default error log file and it had this:

This site works for me:
Code:
http://admin.adlsolutions.net/webmail/
No Error 500

not when you login. Once you hit login it fails.

Then please check you mail.log or mail.info about a login to the imap server.

the logs show data sent and received via imap and no errors of any kind.

One time out of ten tries my account logged right in. after that, no more.

roundcube works every time.
I manually restarted the courier-imap service and it now works. It's pretty slow, but it works.

If I use roundcube it is almost instant.

I had to reset my box two days ago. You could ping it but nothing was responding. No apache, no smtp, no imap.

I had to do this weekly when running Etch. I'm running Lenny now and it seems to be more stable but I would like to see what it was doing to force me to reset it.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot that? ssh wouldnt even respond either.
