Mail Problems (urgent please) - coper - 03-31-2009 03:04 AM Hello, A few days ago I had a problem with mails. The problem was that the mails doesn't arrive. A member of this forum help me and told me to look the cpu usage for amavis service. Amavis was taking 100% of the cpu. He told me this: Search and find the problem by coming by using the debian repository and a few machines had this problem Switched to volatile, and reinstall from there all the problems disappeared That solved the problem of cpu usage. But now I'm having a strange problem. Still a lot of mails not arriving. I looked at the logs and I could not find anything strange. /var/log/mail.err is empty /var/log/mail.log have no errors, just a few warnings because some addresses do not exist. Please I need some help, I'm having a lot of clients calling me because they are having problems receiving mails. Reinstall amavis, reinstall postfix, courier, etc. I don't know what to do. Thanks a lot for your help again. Regards, c. RE: Mail Problems (urgent please) - kurgans - 03-31-2009 03:09 AM You might databases clamav are damaged Delete the file in / var / lib / clamav / main.inc / Then run "freshclam" and it wil download a new database. It will regenerate Restart clamav. and test mail sending I said this does not line main.cf Amavis content_filter = [127.0.0.1]: 10024, restarted postfix, but no solution will give you some time to review the system without pressure from customers RE: Mail Problems (urgent please) - coper - 03-31-2009 03:29 AM Thank you for the fast response. You mean all of the files inside main.inc? I have this files: main.db main.fp main.hdb main.info main.mdb main.ndb main.zmd RE: Mail Problems (urgent please) - kurgans - 03-31-2009 03:41 AM Yes, make a copy of the original before working |
