domain name question - robbo007 - 04-23-2009 08:45 PM Hello all, I have setup my ISPCP OMEGA server using my public domain "mydomain.com" All is working fine. I can access the control panel via http://www.mydomain.com Is there anyway I can use "mydomain.com" as a normal webpage with my companies details then have a link on my webpage to ispCPOmega logon? Could this be done with a subdomain? cp.mydomain.com?? If so what do I need to do? I have "mydomain.com" registered with an ISP and the name server entries are pointing to my Debian server which hosts the domain and ISPCP OMEGA. Thanks, Rob RE: domain name question - BeNe - 04-23-2009 08:49 PM Did you installed ispCP with the defaults like "admin.yourdomain.tld", you can create a new site in ispCP called "yourdomain.tld" and upload here your site. Your ispCP Login is after that under admn.yourdomain.tld - this should exist also now. It´s created druing the setup. Greez BeNe RE: domain name question - robbo007 - 04-23-2009 08:59 PM yup, I installed using the defaults but admin.mydomain.com does not resolve. Do I need to create the subdomain admin in the isp's control Panel where I registered "mydomain.com" ? RE: domain name question - BeNe - 04-23-2009 09:05 PM No, you need a DNS Record to admin.yourdomain.tld that exist. Best is that you create one with a wildcard "*" Greez BeNe |
