Hi all,

How do i set up apache2 so that all websites that if a site doesn't have an index.html file in a folder in /htdocs, it still generates a list of files? I belive this is called mod_index

At the moment all the sites return
"Error 403! / Forbidden!"

this line should be found in the apacheconfig of the domain

where would this file be located and would it work for all the domains not just one.

Edit: I have just found out it is the .htacceess file that has been causing this. But this is just my own site how do i enable it on all the sites i host?

Hi!

You can change this in the tpl files:

/etc/ispcp/apache/parts/dmn_php2_entry.tpl
/etc/ispcp/apache/parts/sub_php2_entry.tpl
/etc/ispcp/apache/parts/dmn_entry.tpl
/etc/ispcp/apache/parts/als_entry.tpl
/etc/ispcp/apache/parts/sub_entry.tpl
/etc/ispcp/apache/parts/als_php2_entry.tpl

And then, you need to regenerate the config files:

Edit file etc/apache2/httpd.conf and add this line (its my line) You configure for your needs

DirectoryIndex index.html index.htm index.shtml index.cgi index.php index.php3 index.pl index.xhtml

Restart apache

I have no added the lines

to both /etc/apache2/httpd.conf (which had no lines in it initally)
and /etc/apache2/apache2.conf

I have also checked in webmin that the apache mod "mod_autoindex" is enabled.
