[SOLVED] proftpd error - Greegko - 05-17-2009 07:24 PM

Hello,

I've searched here to find the problem for the ftp error but i didn't get it.
Sorry about the another proftpd thread.

I'm running server in my Virtual Box 2.2.2 with Debian 5 and ispCP latest stable.
Install is fine but when i start it my ftp service makes error in console:

- warning: unable to determine IP address of 'linuxserver'
- error: no valid servers configured
- Fatal error: error processing configure file '/etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf'
failed

How can i fix this ?

Check and correct if necessary your /etc/hosts.
Add 127.0.0.1 in /etc/resolv.conf.

How can i add 127.0.0.1 into conf file ?
When i do it, it always change back to the old file when i reboot.
I also get apache2 error under that: (maybe same the source error)
Starting web server: apache2apache2: apr_sockaddr_info_get() failed for linuxserver
apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName
