moving ISPConfig3 to ispCP Omega - nour02 - 07-09-2009 10:51 PM

Hello,

I would like to change my current Admin interface from ISPConfig3 to ispCP Omega.

I was wondering whether i can just uninstall the old ISPConfig3, and proceed to the normal install of ispCP Omega following the documentation?

Will I have to reinstall the OS (centOS) ?

Thank you!

Step 1, 2 and 3: make backup

Then
if you just uninstall ISPConfig and then install ispCP you won't have any customer.

You need to make some sort of export so you can afterwards import the data (domain, mail accounts, ftp etc etc - passwords!). Since there is no automativ import - you have to write it or install the customers manually.

Also take care:
- I don't know how ISPConfig is organized (where are the websites and the mails). Are there system users (you sometime should delete them).

All in all I think it depends on the amount of accounts.

If you want a clean and fine system I'd reinstall the whole OS...

/J
