migrate courierpop3dsizelist from old to new courier server - dabvhcs - 08-01-2009 01:12 AM

Hi all,

While migrating a test account from an old courier server to a new one (provided by an Ubuntu package), I've got a problem with the courierpop3dsizelist file in mail handling.

Indeed the courierpop3dsizelist file is used by the courier server to answer a mail client (such as Outlook) asking in POP3 for new mails, based on their UIDL; especially in the case where the end user choose "keep a copy of mails on the server".

It seems this file format has changed, so if I migrate mails from old server to /var/mail/virtual/domain.tld/mailbox/ (such as cp -a old new), the mail client will download again all previous mails as the file is overwrite / not well interpreted by the new courier pop3 daemon.

Does anybody have to deal with that while migrating an old vhcs / ispcp server to a new one ? I 'm interested in any information.

Thanks !
