Running ispCp without bind - olindata - 09-10-2009 05:54 AM

Hey guys,

is there any harm in removing named/bind? Will ispCp continue to funtion or will it crap out? We don't offer DNS server capacbilities to our customer so unless there is a really good reason to keep running it, we rather wouldn't Smile

you can disable bind - but it's easier to let the files be creatd by ispcp (just disable the service - do not uninstall).

Thanks for that!

In the future I guess it would be nice to have an option for enabling/disaling every service ispCp offers. We don't use bind, webmail, pop3 or imap.

This is more ore less on the wishlist.
The Webmail is not a Service, you can delte the webmail folder from the tools directory if you want.
