What do you miss in ISPCP? - gOOvER - 09-18-2009 10:56 PM I (not the ispCP Team ) started this Thread to see, what the Community miss in ispCP. If you missed a Feature, post it here. What is the most to see in ispCP in Future Releases? RE: What did you REALLY miss in ispCP?? - chems - 09-19-2009 12:36 AM - IPv6 - Support - better customisation with HTTP/S - Server (to choose Nginx oder Lighthttpd instead of Apache) - Load - Balancing Features (Long time target) not the easiest wishes, but could work RE: What did you REALLY miss in ispCP?? - Nuxwin - 09-20-2009 12:00 PM In view of the php6 happen, I'd like to re-implement a switch in the frontend to allow users to choose which version of PHP they want to run. Two examples of implementation that I made for VHCS at the time: First : Second The second implementation is more subtle than the first. It allows you to restrict the use of a particular version of PHP in a directory specified property. RE: What did you REALLY miss in ispCP?? - sseitz - 09-24-2009 05:43 PM a) SSL Support with neat web dialog for handling certificates b) web interface for handling cronjobs (demanded by many of our customers) c) SSH Support (well, I'm on that and it wouldn't need much work at ispCP's scripts) d) External and/or Cloud DNS and Mail handling RE: What did you REALLY miss in ispCP?? - edpresident - 10-06-2009 04:27 PM I think, software installer can be good for client panel. It can download automatically their sites like(fresh version) joomla.org, wordpress.org... and setup a little steps. After installing CMS, it sould update one click to installed CMS. RE: What did you REALLY miss in ispCP?? - Mist_ - 10-06-2009 04:36 PM - Support for more services, especially Cyrus IMAP and vsftpd - Possibility to split services between several servers (one server for www, one for e-mail, one for spam & AV) - RPM installations packages RE: What did you REALLY miss in ispCP?? - parmando - 10-19-2009 04:11 AM i think that email accounts should be spread across some kind of hierarchy so when we have a big number of accounts under one domain the, OS, search time is more quickly. Ej /var/mail/virtual/mydom.tdl/a/… /var/mail/virtual/mydom.tdl/b/… /var/mail/virtual/mydom.tdl/c/… … /var/mail/virtual/mydom.tdl/z/… /var/mail/virtual/mydom.tdl/0/… … /var/mail/virtual/mydom.tdl/9/… etc. RE: What did you REALLY miss in ispCP?? - caus909 - 10-21-2009 10:42 PM I think an auto-billing system is missing (it's in progress, I know) And SSH support (for some templates only) RE: What did you REALLY miss in ispCP?? - Gleno0h - 11-24-2009 12:32 AM Switch php versions Auto installers Web editing of files (like the error pages, maybe with more functions) Cronjob Billing system Admin scripts for restart services from the web Its a great script now, but with that it would be a little nicer for me personaly, and for more people maybe. RE: What did you REALLY miss in ispCP?? - motokochan - 11-24-2009 05:25 PM My biggest want-to-see features:
Everything else is really nice, but to me the above two items are essential so that customers don't have to wait on their host to handle things (crontasks), and the hosts don't have to edit core configuration (SSL) in an otherwise managed system. |
