I have bought a domain from godaddy to use with my ispCPOmega server. However i have no idea what records I should enter apart from the a record (my ip). What should I enter for MX records and such like?

You should replace the domain's nameservers with your own ones (pointing to your server). After that, all records will be direcly handled by ispcp and you won't have to do anything else...
