New way to translate ispCP - raphael - 06-27-2007 01:50 PM Ok, since r679 we will now be using .po files to handle the translations. Many changes were made to the current translations so almost all need to be updated. I imported the existing translations and converted them into .po files. If you notice that there's a missing .po please tell me the language code of that translation, because there was one of the exising translations that didn't have the required info. The source .pot is language-files/ispCP.pot At the moment all the .po files are up-to-date to the current .pot Malte/Benedikt: can any of you update the links of the website so they now point to the .po files? I will try to finish the script that converts the .po files back into the A=B format by tomorrow morning. NOTE: all the languages were imported automatically, and all those with msgid = msgstr were marked as fuzzy. RE: New way to translate ispCP - RatS - 06-27-2007 06:38 PM How should we Implement this on Translation Page; any suggestions? RE: New way to translate ispCP - raphael - 06-28-2007 02:04 AM Well, people should instead download the .po files and then upload them (possibly as tickets in Trac). A script would convert those .po files and update the A=B files. I know it sounds like a lot of things to do, but it's quite simple and easier to manage changes compared against the current system. RE: New way to translate ispCP - BioALIEN - 06-28-2007 10:03 AM I like this approach. Very nice Raphael. RE: New way to translate ispCP - adigit - 06-28-2007 03:51 PM good, then we can use poEdit to do the translation easily RE: New way to translate ispCP - Zothos - 06-28-2007 04:26 PM nice action raphael ![]() ![]() RE: New way to translate ispCP - raphael - 06-29-2007 03:37 AM thanks everybody Zothos Wrote:Seems you have a big plan behind your mass changeshehe ![]() RE: New way to translate ispCP - raphael - 06-29-2007 05:24 AM By the way... using this approach requires the Language-Team information to be correctly set (e.g. Spanish <es@li.org>, e.g. Spanish (Argentina) <es_ar@li.org>) The email address doesn't really matter, but the first part does, because the language information is read from that entry. And about Quote:If you notice that there's a missing .po please tell me the language code of that translation, because there was one of the exising translations that didn't have the required info. Here is more info: Quote:E | File thai/ispcp1.0.0-thai does not provide a ispcp_languageSetlocaleValue entry By the way, I'll try to set the Language-Team information of the existing .po files based on the current ispcp_language entry of the A=B files. I suppose you have made it raphael ?In my local PC... it is still under development and I've been adding some new features. greg Wrote:I need it if I want to test my new french translation...I'll setup an online converter so you can convert them. I don't plan to publish the x64PoPot class until it is ready (that means: plurals support & charset conversion) |
