SSL using Virtual Hosts with IPs - ShinZan - 12-19-2009 03:48 AM Hi Ive been using ispcp since way back in the vhcs2 days and i have to say great fork and kudos for keeping it all alive! I'm not a linux guru first off and heres my question: I am running a wildcard ssl certificate on my ispcp 1.0.1 box. This gives me a ssl certificate for 5 domains and 5 ip addresses in one certificate. I have my block of 5 public ips and i have already put the aliases for those ips into my network interface. I have one ssl setup on the box but obviously to utilize the other 4 ip address Apache will need to have 1 instance for each ip address that has an ssl certificate, since each ssl domain must have a separate ip address. Here is the howto I'm looking at: http://www.debianadmin.com/creating-name-based-and-ip-based-virtual-hosts-in-apache.html My concern is should i know about any special gotchas or problems with making another ip based virtual host for these multiple ssl domains on ispcp? or will this howto cover me no problem? I just want to have one ip instance of apache to deal with each of the ip addresses associated with an ssl cert, and then one Apache instance to do all the other domains. Thanks! David |
