when i access the phpmyadmin it's error

PHP 5.2+ is required

If i upgrade it the control panel still work or not

That is correct. You need a minimum of PHP 5.2 on your server. You are probably using the included PHP 5.1.6, which is too old. Check the CentOS installation instructions for information on what packages you need.

Can you check the php version who is intalled when we follow the current howto instruction ?

The install instructions specifically say that PHP 5.2 or better must be installed and the instructions provide for installing an updated version, if the user follows the instructions.

The installation specifically says in step 1.2:

Quote:Remi Collet maintains a repository of updated packages for Fedora and CentOS/RHEL. We need his repository to install updated PHP and MySQL packages as CentOS 5 comes with PHP 5.1 and we need PHP 5.2 at a minimum.

I'll see if I can highlight this earlier in the instructions, but if the users don't read, there isn't much we can do.
